Derek joined our team in February of 2002. His responsibilities focus
primarily on our students in grades 6 – 12. His passion is connecting
students to Jesus Christ and equipping them to serve Him in every area of
their lives. In addition to the student ministry he oversees various ministries
in the church that includes all ages.
Derek grew up in Miami, Oklahoma graduating from Miami High School in
1997. He is a graduate of Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami
and Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. He is currently
working on his Masters Degree (M.A. in Ministry) at John Brown University
in Northwest Arkansas.
Derek enjoys hanging out with his students, spending time with his girlfriend
Charli, and watching the Grove Ridgerunners.
